Hemp Milk

Hemp milk has a light, nutty flavor, and is enjoyed by many for it’s high protein, mineral, vitamin B, and omega-3 content. Hemp protein is unique among plant proteins because it contains all 10 amino acids, making it as “complete” as any animal protein. To preserve the healthy fats and omega-3s in hemp seeds, hemp milk is best made raw with our “Raw” cycle.

Ingredients

  • Hemp seeds (hulled, also called “hemp hearts”)
    • 1 US Customary cups for SoyaJoy
    • 3/4 US Customary cups for SoyaPower
  • Water

*Note that the provided measuring cup (called “Sanlinx cup” in the user manual”) equals 1/2 US Customary cup

TIPS

Will keep about 5 days, sealed and refrigerated. Separation is normal – simply shake well before drinking.

Instructions

  • Add hemp seeds to machine, and add drinking water up to between the lines
  • Close machine, power on, and press “Raw”
  • Relax.
  • When the cycle finishes, strain the milk by pouring through a sieve or cheesecloth. You might also find the milk doesn’t need straining.
  • Add flavorings or sweeteners to taste
  • Enjoy!
